WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Each gift will be used as designated except where any given need has been fully met or in the case when the specified project(s) cannot be reasonably carried out, then the donor agrees that the designated gift may be used where it is needed most.

There are many ways in which you can engage in the Ministry of NCM Canada. On this page, you will find information about those opportunities. Please note that an expression of interest in engaging with NCM Canada does not guarantee that we have openings immediately available. We will be happy to add you to our interest list that is kept confidential. Should an opportunity arise that meets your indicated areas of interest and skills, we may contact you at that time to discuss the opportunity further.

We are always happy to visit churches and districts to share/report on the ministry of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Canada. Whether it is in person, or online, we welcome the opportunity to share about what Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is, and how our collaborative efforts result in the fulfillment of our mission – to make disciples in the nations.

WAYS TO ENGAGE WITH NCM CANADA

Awareness & Fundraising

Perfect for individuals and local church groups. Pray – then, pick a project from the NCM Canada gift catalogue. Learn about the issue, globally and locally. NCM Canada has several topics you can learn about on our website, and some have resources/toolkits to help you.

Set a date and time to share details about the issue and about our response as the church to the issue. Be sure to invite others to give as God leads them. You could arrange to speak at a bible study, a small group gathering, a family dinner – there is no limit! You could also choose a fun and interactive way to engage others to raise awareness and collect love offerings (some ideas: car wash, bake sale, worship concert, community walk/bike 3-5km, etc.).

Donate the funds received to your chosen project by visiting our website and following the giving buttons, or you can call the office.

Continue praying and stay connected with NCM Canada to learn about how your gift is making a difference! Be sure to share the impact of the church’s response with others.

School of Compassion

Attend and participate in a guided biblical study on the fundamentals of compassion. After being a part of one of our online studies, you will have the option to lead a small group study on compassion at your local church.

Content Creation

This one is for content creators! Help us develop content to promote compassion as a lifestyle on our different communication channels, including social media. You can share a devotional/reflection with an overall theme of compassion, produce videos, or even write an article for our newsletter.

Are you into photography or videography? Join an NCM Canada team member on one of their country visits to capture images/videos and help us tell the story! This is a self-funded opportunity.

Programming

NCM Canada recognizes that some people may want to be engaged in compassionate ministries and that God may be calling you specifically to ministries of compassion. We have created a pathway to become engaged with NCM Canada in practical ways beginning with entry level engagement.

Entry level engagement is strictly voluntary. Beyond entry level, we have designed six levels of increasing commitment on your part and on the part of NCM Canada. Further engagement includes assigned reading, training, activities, and assignments.

Learning Tour

Join NCM Canada on a learning tour that focuses on holistic ministries of compassion in one of the contexts we’re serving in! This is a spiritually enriching experience that promotes personal growth as you engage in ministry opportunities while on the tour. Share about your experience upon your return to Canada and begin or enhance ministries of compassion in your local church!

Disaster Response & Preparedness

Get trained through our partnership with the Salvation Army. Be prepared to respond to disasters in Canada. Training is free and it is offered on-line or in-person across Canada throughout the year. For further details on trainings offered, please contact our office.
