There are many ways in which you can get involved in Compassionate ministries. On this page, you will find information about those opportunities. Please complete the Expression of Interest form here (make clickable to pdf document) and send it to NCM Canada by email (national@nazarene.ca) or regular mail. Once received, you will be added to our Interest List.

Please note that an expression of interest in engaging with NCM Canada does not guarantee that openings are immediately available. We will be happy to add you to our interest list and contact you as opportunities arise that meet your indicated areas of interest and skills.

Invite Us to Speak

We are always happy to visit churches and districts across Canada to share/report on the ministry of Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Canada. Whether it is in person, or online, the NCM Canada team welcomes opportunities to share about what Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is, and how together we are fulfilling our mission – to make Christlike disciples in all the nations.

Content Creation

This one is for content creators! Help us develop written and visual content for our different communication channels, including social media. Help us collect and develop devotionals/reflections/articles with an overall theme of compassion.

Are you into photography or videography and open to visiting a context NCM Canada serves in? Join an NCM Canada team member on one of their country visits to capture images/videos and help us tell the story! This is a self-funded opportunity. Call us for more details.

Learning Tour

Join NCM Canada on a Learning Tour that focuses on holistic ministries of compassion in one of the contexts we’re serving in! This is a challenging, but spiritually enriching experience that promotes personal growth as you engage in ministry opportunities while on the tour. Share about your experience upon your return to Canada, engage further with the ministry of NCM Canada and begin or enhance ministries of compassion in your local church!

Awareness & Fundraising

Perfect for individuals and local church groups.

Pray, then, pick a project theme/area from the NCM Canada Gifts of Compassion catalogue.
Learn about the issue, globally and locally (use our resources).
Arrange to speak during your church service, a small group gathering, a family dinner, at school or at work – there is no limit!
Invite others to pray, and to give as God leads them.
Donate the funds raised to your chosen project by visiting our website and following the giving buttons, or you can call the office.

You could choose a fun and interactive way to engage others to raise awareness and collect love offerings (some ideas: organize a car wash, bake sale, worship concert, community walk/bike 3-5km, etc.). Setting a deadline will help when raising funds.

Programming

NCM Canada recognizes that some people may want to be engaged in compassionate ministries and that God may be calling them specifically to ministries of compassion. A pathway has been created to engage with NCM Canada in practical ways.

Entry level engagement is strictly voluntary. Beyond entry level, we have designed six levels of increasing commitment on your part and on the part of NCM Canada. Further engagement includes assigned reading, training, activities, and assignments.

Disaster Response & Preparedness

Get trained through our partnership with the Salvation Army. Be prepared to respond to disasters in Canada. Training is free and it is offered on-line or in-person across Canada throughout the year. For further details on trainings offered, please contact the office.
